The
PolyParadise Work Party held Saturday March 28 was a major success - We
sorted thru all the Playa Gear - Cleaned & Sorted all the stuff and managed
to get just a bit more room in our garage (We can now open the Freezer Door
all the way).
Many Many Many Thanks to: UncleBob, WildChild, Whiteout, Dawn, Passout, Jim,
Twist and a very very special visit from Keith & Lenel.
When we do the work party we get all the gear out on tables in the driveway,
there are lots of folks who stop by and are thinking it is a yard sale, when
we tell them it is not they look at us with a weird smerk/smile and wonder
than WTF is all that stuff!!! So we are cleaning and sorting away and here
pulls up a car and after I said it twice This is not a Yard Sale - Out of
the Car Pops Keith & Lenel. So amazing to see you both and many thanks for
jumping right in after hugs and getting to work.
There
was lots of very DISGUSTING pots/pans and bins - some could be salvaged and
some were just thrown away - not to be used again by humans.
Major Kudos to Jim, who was dishwasher/Pot washer extraordinaire. It was
awesome to hang out with you...
So, Unclebob, WildChild & I were outside at 8a and we finally put the last
of the stuff back in the garage @ 5p, a very long day but a productive day.
But that was not the last of our FUN for the day!!!
UncleBob & Scotto brought to fruition an idea hatched form the depths of
their minds - Trash Can Pizza - Yes another amazing way to cook with BBQ
Briquettes & a Trash Can!!! There were many lessons learned but 5 Pizzas
were cooked to perfection - We will be bringing this concept to the Playa
where Scotto & UncleBob will create 20 pizzas at a Community Dinner coming
soon to an evening On-Playa.
We did not find Rebecca's Light Sticks but we did find your Plate - There is
a picture of it.
Musical tunes for the day provided by Mutaytor & our very own AleX - 55
songs (From his 55 B-Day CD).
So to all of you out there, know your Camps Playa gear is on good hands and
is now clean - As Uncle Bob now says 'It is not clean until it is Playa
Clean'
We look forward to bringing all this stuff to the Playa in 154 Days!!!
