Wet Naked Polyamorus People!

Did THAT get your attention? I sure hope so...

This from the Department of Yucky Water Stuff...

One of the perks of joining Poly Paradise is we provide community  shower space for our members and provide safe and ecologically responsible wastewater management.

We have significantly upgraded our shower facilities for our campers this year. A new enclosure, heater and pump along with towel racks, shoe changing deck and supplies storage. Simplified operation, easy-fill transfer container and we will even have lighting for night use.

All this with a smaller footprint and no surrounding moat! Ever  needed a shower on a windy day but hated the wind-chill factor of minus 20 degrees? We got you covered with a complete,  wind resistant enclosure.

Anarchy Kamp is on the other side of BRC, so we have to deal  with Rules and Regulations. Violations of any of these regs will be dealt with in the usual, ghastly way.

1- Bring your own water, separate from your water commitment  for community use. To maintain sanitation and safety standards use only drinking water from unopened containers. Others using the shower will thank you knowing only pure, clean water is in the system.

2- Clean up after use- We will have a trash sack for soap wrappers  and other small stuff. Please do not leave small bars of soap, take them with you or trash them. Pick up the shower floor of any debris even if you didn't drop it.

3- Please remove your stuff after using the shower. You may leave consumables in the storage area if you write your name and the words "Personal use only" or "Not community property." If someone leaves consumables such as shampoo, conditioner, body wash etc. behind  without marking, they will be considered community property and free use rules apply.

4- Take your towels and wash cloths when you are done- Like  consumables, these items will become community items if you abandon them.

5- If you find any valuables such as nipple rings and such turn them  over to Scotto or myself for safe keeping.

6- Absolutely NO wastewater dumping in the shower. We will have a community dump station for gray water only near the Evapotron. See Tailfeather for use and access instructions. The dump station will be locked and no dumping of public gray water will be allowed at any time  during the event. No, repeat NO dumping of human waste in ANY part of our gray water processing system at ANY time! Dispose of human waste in the portos only.

7- The shower is open for operation 24 hours a day. We will have it up  and running by Sunday the 26th and last day will be Monday the 6th.

8- The shower system is for the exclusive use of Poly Paradise members only. The public may participate in the HCW experience if  they desire.

9- The community shower may be shut down without prior notice in the  event our evaporation unit is overloaded or we suffer a system failure. If conditions warrant, we may close the shower system prior to final shutdown on Monday the 6th.

10- If you have questions or problems working the shower systems I'm  the guy to call. My Playa Cell is 845-8798, no area code needed. We will post full instructions at the shower.

Operation of the System:

1- Add clean drinking water to the covered bucket. Close lid after filling to  keep playa dust out. Capacity is five gallons and the system dispenses at about 3/4 to 1 gallon per minute.

2- When ready to start, depress the heater knob and rotate clockwise until  the arrows line up. The heater and pump will start immediately. Check temperature and adjust using the upper knob inside the enclosure. If the heater fails to start or fails during a shower, turn the knob back counter-  clockwise to "Off," wait a few seconds, then re-start.

3- To pause water flow, turn the lower knob clockwise from "Run" to "Pause."  When ready to resume, turn lower knob to "Run" again. When in "Pause," water is redirected back into the bucket allowing the heater to stay on and be ready for use.

4- When you are finished, simply turn the heater knob counter-clockwise to  Off." Both the water pump and heater will then shut down.

5- Pick up any trash and place in the trash sack. Be sure to take your stuff from within the enclosure and the outside deck back to your camping space so the shower is clean and tidy for the next person.

I'll post this info from time to time and printed copies will be posted at appropriate locations.

An explanation on some of the rules are in order because some seem exclusionary and not very welcoming. Reason is we have sized the system for a certain number of campers. We have input from the kitchen area, HCW, shower and ancillary camper loads to deal with. We have a  number of variables to contend with without adding non Poly Paradise wastewater loads. So the rule is we won't be allowing non PP use of our shower and wastewater systems.

Thanks for taking time to check this out,

Tailfeather
