I hope that the
memories of Burning Man '05 and PolyParadise are still fresh in
your head and your dreams. I hope you are all
getting PSYCHED cause the Playa, Burning Man & PolyParadise 2006
are set to rise out of the Playa, here is what is 'In The
News'...
Burning Man

Planning for Shangri-La Village 2006 has begun, and I
mean just begun, we are a bit behind our own timeline this year.
So far included within the Village are PolyParadise and what has
been named Shangri-Sprawl (formerly the Slums) . No real
numbers yet as to how many campers within the Sprawl, but it
does have Mayors as ConstabEL & Spatch have
stepped up for duty. At this early stage I am not sure
that SLV will happen, I am not sure there is the same enthusiasm
in the SD/OC communities. No matter, PolyParadise will be
on the Playa, for that you can be sure...I will keep you posted
as things progress or digress in Village news...
From what I have heard the BRC Layout will echo the same from
'05 with Spokes out of 7:30 & 4:30, although that is not
official. If & when it does become the word of the BMORG,
due to the non-nightly interactivity of SLV, I am not sure we
would be able to occupy a space on the grid higher up the spoke,
so our Playa location from '05 would probably be the same (6
streets back @ 7:30). If SLV does not happen PolyParadise might
look to secure a space around the 6:30 area & 2 streets
back, but that is all talk at the moment until the fate of SLV
has risen or been sacked. As Lead Mayor, I am hoping to
have that decision made by Mid April.
Regardless of SLV
inclusion,
PolyParadise will be requesting a space of 200' x 175'.
Collectively we have decided to change the time of Poly High
Tea to 1:00p-3:00p Monday - Saturday. The
Human Carcass Wash will still be from 3:00p - 4:30p
Monday - Sunday. Community Dinner will remain @ 6:00p
each day.
So far on the Menu:

Tuesday - (Stagger/HypnoBurn - Surf & Turf)

Friday - (Scotto/WildChild - Trash Can Turkey & Stuffing)
So.....
One of the things that PolyParadise has not done effectively in
the past is educate its own citizens about Poly & Poly issues.
We have done and do well with educating the Playa Citizenry with
PHT, but have lacked in our own camps education.
So....With the change of time of Poly High Tea, we now have this
FREE TIME between 4:30 - 6:00p each day. With
details yet to be worked out, we will be holding a
PolyParadise Resident discussion on a pre-determined Poly
Subject or relationships in general (Jealousy, Time Constraints,
ect) for all of US to be together and share and learn & grow....Should
be a BLAST!! Will post more as the details are worked out.

4 Peas (Perfect Place for Poly Play)
I REALLY MEAN IT THIS YEAR
The Poly Play Space - 4 Peas (Perfect Place for Poly
Play) had a rough time in 2005. The tent we purchased
went DOWN with the fierce wind the first day of Burning Man.
With dedication and persistence from several PP Campers
including but not limited to WaterLog & FoxyGoddess the
structure did rise with Duct Tape and more guide wires than it
started with, but a structure out of the wind & dust all the
same.
Ideally this space would be a Dust-Free space, a "Sexually
Permissive & Pervasive space", meaning you may find others
engaged in some form of Physical expression. DO NOT
assume that you can join without asking and take NO to
mean just that. Violators of an emphatic NO will
be escorted out of PolyParadise and asked to camp elsewhere. As
a PolyParadise Camper you are responsible for all guests brought
into our camp and into this space.
Multiple persons can share this space at the same time with each
group being respectful of each other. Please clean up after
yourself!!!! The Donation of Safe Sex supplies is highly
encouraged. Anything 'Left' in this space will be considered
available for Public Use.
I did appreciate the offer from a PP Newbie for the use of a 30'
covered dome possibly for this purpose, but that offer did not
come with transportation to & from the Playa and that in itself posses
an issue. It also seems quite an undertaking to erect,
while still needing a significant amount of infrastructure
inside it to accommodate a Poly Play Space.
So....Instead of hassling with a formal 'Structure' as we have in the
past, we will be using a LARGE Style 10'x20' Tent, that
already is enclosed and Dust-Free. This tent is surely more
durable than the one I purchased in 2005 and we should FINALLY
have the Poly Play Space we have been needing & wanting for
several years.

has volunteered to be in charge of interior decorating of this
space, she has lots and lots of lace!!! Ohhh he said
Lace!!!!
Without knowing if our Water Reclamation Guru, WaterLog, will make the Playa this year, we had previously had a discussion on Water Reclamation alternatives. There were several folks with some great ideas that were going to be attempted. There has been no further discussions over the past few months so I do not know where those experiments or ideas stand. In the event we cannot provide the same type of Water Reclamation, we may be forced to rent a 250 Gallon towable tank, that most likely would need to be taken to the Reno Dump several times during the week or pay the RV Service vendor to empty. This of course is not my first choice due to costs & logistics, so I look forward to some more discussions on our Water Reclamation issue.
In the past the 'First Official Call' for PolyParadise Campers had not gone out until Mid-May, but as the costs of camping with PolyParadise have needed to increase, that 'First Official Call' for PolyParadise Campers will be posted forthwith. Details have been worked out for PolyParadise 2006 Camping Costs with a WhatUGet list of expenses and payment schedule & options.
