Burning Man, BRC & PolyParadise are only 107 Days Away!!!

getting PSYCHED cause the Playa, Burning Man & PolyParadise 2006
are set to rise out of the Playa, here is what is 'In The
News'...
Burning Man
Ticket Sales are well under way with at least 20,000 tickets
sold so far as the $175 & $200 & $225 have Sold Out!!

Details have been worked out for PolyParadise 2006 Camping
Costs with a WhatUGet list of
expenses and payment schedule & options. So far we
have 48 Confirmed Campers...
COST have increased as
of May 2nd to
$85/PERSON. As of July 2nd the costs will increase to
$95/person. So get your monies in now!!!
Shangri-La Village 2006 will NOT be making an
appearance On-Playa in 2006...
Over the past 3 years SLV has been primarily an SD/OC based
Village, with Theme Camps & its Members from the Southern Ca
area. As much as things stay the same they also change,
Camps move on and people move on. This is not a bad thing,
in fact CHANGE is a good thing...
For 2006 the numbers just are not there to form a Village and
get the Playa Space we would require...
The Sprawl, the formerly non-affiliated area of the Village,
will be continuing as 'The Sprawl', as a Theme Camp on its own.
They will be offering the Playa Citizenry the Application of Sun
Screen with the added bonus of Lemonade & Cookies...
Currently there are ~35 folks on the roles of the Sprawl, with a
Cap of 50 peeps. If you are interested in camping within
the Sprawl, please contact Spatch @

I have submitted our Theme Camp Registration with BMORG,
estimating 75 people. PolyParadise has requested a space of 200' x
200'.
I have also entered our Playa
Events to the
On-Playa Calendar, this will also get the events listed in
the Who, What, Where, When.
Our Playa events will include Poly High
Tea - 1:00p-3:00p Monday - Saturday. The
Human Carcass Wash will be from 3:00p - 4:30p
Monday - Sunday.
We will also be hosting and event to be named Mind Melt,
featuring
the Light Machines and the amazing imagery that is
created. The description & details for this event
are still being formulated...

So.....
One of the things that PolyParadise has not done effectively in
the past is educate its own citizens about Poly & Poly issues.
We have done and do well with educating the Playa Citizenry with
PHT, but have lacked in our own camps education.
So....With the change of time of Poly High Tea, we now have this
FREE TIME between 4:30 - 6:00p each day. We will be holding a
PolyParadise Resident discussion on Poly-Related Subjects in general (Jealousy, Time Constraints, ect) for all of US to be together and share and learn & grow....Should
be a BLAST!! We have a multitude of Poly Subjects that
will be put in a Jar and a Random Topic will then be discussed.
Could of course use volunteers to help facilitate this event...
PolyParadise has 'another' new event for the Playa 2006. Our own HypnoBurn will be hosting 2 seminars on the use of Hypnosis as a therapeutic tool. This event will run Tues & Thurs with times & substance to be worked out. More details to follow...

each day.

We now know that our Water Reclamation Guru, WaterLog, will not make the Playa this year, we had previously had a discussion on Water Reclamation alternatives. There were several folks with some great ideas that were going to be attempted. There has been no further discussions over the past few months so I do not know where those experiments or ideas stand. In the event we cannot provide the same type of Water Reclamation, we may be forced to rent a 250 Gallon towable tank, that most likely would need to be taken to the Reno Dump several times during the week or pay the RV Service vendor to empty. This of course is not my first choice due to costs & logistics, so I look forward to some more discussions on our Water Reclamation issue. We also may need to return to using an Evap Pond with a Pump and Fabric to dissipate as much water as we can during the week.
