Camper Bios - 2014

AleXander (MrSmartyFancyPants)
AleXanderHow much bio can one fit through a tiny keyhole?

This will be my tenth year in a row.
One time camped with Greeters (2009) otherwise at PolyParadise.

Fourth time with my partner in life and art - Tammy Remington. With some proximity (allowing for robust individuality) to labels such as artistic, critically thinking, adventurous, non-monogamous, queer, etc etc - both this camp and Burning Man in general, allow for a rare freedom of expression, exploration, participation, and celebration in a combination not often found on this planet.

For the first time I am saying this will be my last time.

[Of course I reserve the right to change my mind - but (as with most things we do in life) it is both grounding and focusing to approach anything or anyone as if it may be your last time.]

Expectations, as usual, will be left in Reno, at Mel's Diner, over a double-malt chocolate malted.

Why Burning Man?
Passion and Awe, Participation and Inspiration.

For the fifth year in a row I will be bringing art ["Haggling At The Mirage"] for Center Camp.

Last year's piece - 2013 - Cargo Cult:

When not on playa I live in that other place that truly makes sense to me: New York City - where cinema, music, theater, literature and endless other human diversity and creativity keep me alive and inspired with absolutely no time left for consuming any television.
Passion and Awe, indeed.
