Male, 55, mostly original parts. Degrees in Philosophy and Computer Science (self taught Evolutionary Psychology). In 2nd marriage (10 years).
Reading, Movies, Home Improvement (i.e. trying to stay one step ahead of the next thing that is going to break), Camping in the Desert (Death Valley and Black Rock), Artsy things (always looking for a new artistic skill I can play with to make something interesting).
Burning Man: ’02, ’03, ’04, ’05, ’06, ’07, ’08, ’09 – All at Poly Paradise
Why? It's the only place I know where I can feed so many opposite needs. My need for community and solitude. My need for quiet and outrageous noise. My need for desolation and magnificent structure. And my need to DANCE!!! It's also about the only time I get to spend any time with my life-long best friend HYPNO.
Have played with art on the playa and in 2008 had a granted installation right under the Man. I'd like to do that again some year when my finances will allow it.
What I'd really like to do (if I ever find the money & space) is create a PolyParadise ART car... so we could ride around the playa in style.... any maybe manage to get Hypno out of camp for at least a little while.
Once again this year I expect to be handling (wallowing in?) your trash. I will be the guy who will distribute trash to all the vehicles in Poly Paradise at some point during the week. Remember – we all have to take a bag home with us cause it ain’t all gonna fit on the truck.
Most days I try to sleep until the tent gets too hot.. and most nights I will be out either photographing the city or dancing at Opulent Temple.
