Renee:
Me in a (very small and barely cracked)
nutshell:I’m 37, live in Utah with my husband of 12 years and two kids who are 8 and 4. I work in an Oriental rug shop doing so many different jobs I don’t really have a title that fits. I grew up the oldest of eight in a very Mormon household, and although I’m sure it’s a great disappointment to my parents, I find those beliefs and that lifestyle do not fit in with what I feel is right for me.
I am a former picky eater turned foodie, thanks to my hubby who couldn’t let me live my life in the culinary dark. Now the trick is to stop eating! My favorite instrument is the bagpipe which I’ve been told is weird but I don’t see how since they make the most beautiful sound! And I love to dance! (anyone know that movie?)
I am very shy (painfully so) and find it hard to meet people sometimes but once I get past that hurdle I make friends very fast. One of my favorite things to do is to make yummy food for my friends and then spend time just talking, eating and hanging out together.
I can be fun and silly and on occasion wild and crazy – usually with a little help from my friend Rum! I aspire to be a funny person and thoroughly enjoy making people laugh. On the other hand I am a worrier and sometimes have trouble letting things go, which is one reason I love BM so much. It gives me a week of less pressure, stress and worry. When I went in 2008 I learned a lot of things NOT to do at Burning Man so I’m really looking forward to having an even more amazing time this year!
Mostly I’m just pretty down to earth, friendly, open minded, and according to my husband “a kick ass girl!”
