KnotchAge: 53
Where I Live: Elfrida, Arizona in the middle of
nowhere.
Been to Burning Man before? When?
Yes - 2008,2009
Camped with? When?
Camp Incendiary Nation 2008
PolyParadise 2009
PolyParadise Favorite Moments? Being invited to volunteer on the early entry build team watching the camp and city grow from almost nothing, trash can turkey, and tear down and then that last night after almost everyone else had left... amazing night seeing and hearing the playa speak.
Why Burning Man? Because it all seems right. Very few places feel this good to be at and very few groups of people so natural to be around.
Burning History: I heard about Burning Man over 11 years ago and followed the accounts of an astro-artist named Don Davis as he wrote about his yearly experiences. I wanted to go from the first time I heard of it but didn't get the opportunity until 2008.
Describe BM: Burning Man is better than a good dream because it is real. I love Burning Man, I love the playa, I love the people, I love it all.
My Life:
I think I was born an adult but I've de-aged year by year and just
getting to the point in my life that I can have fun. If I look back
on my life there are a few events that mark time and my first year
at Burning Man is definitely one of those markers that I look at as
"before" and "after".
I've spent most of my life making a living in the world of computers
but hopefully you'd never guess that if you met me walking in the
desert down the dirt road that we live on.
