Why Burning Man? My path to attend Burning Man in 2005 was long. My experience at Burning Man in 2005 was intensely spiritual and the welcome I received there was indescribable.
When I first heard about Burning Man about 5 years ago I had convinced myself that I would not be able to survive the heat and the intense conditions of the playa. In May of 2005 I went to the Loving More conference and met someone who talked with me about attending BM and I figured “why not” – If I’m not able to endure the conditions then I will break camp and go home.
I then met Trouble online in Erie, CO on and when we met for coffee at the Trident in Boulder he told me all about Burning Man and Poly Paradise.
Volunteer on the Playa? – Helping in camp.
PolyParadise Favorite Moments – Connecting with all those who attend Poly High Tea and listening to their stories.
Toughest thing: Explaining to people why Burning Man is so great when they know that I don’t drink or use mind altering substances.
Best thing: The burn on Saturday night, the amazing art work, the playa, seeing playa covered cars driving east after exodus and making eye contact with the people in the car with a knowing smile.
Burning Man Advise: bring water and moisturize, moisturize, moisturize. The playa will strip away that which no longer serves you.
