Why Burning Man?
BRC has turned into a new way of life that has continued from the my playa home (Black Rock) and taken it out to the world. Burners have become my other family in that I cannot wait to return home each year and again to become the ultimate family.
My life in few words:
Ozzy and Harriet family life style when growing up, and the product of the late 60's early 70's way of life, College and Fraternity associations in school, Private Pilot at 18, one man Kayak of the Grand Canyon rapids at 16, Musician at 12, Grew up working grandfathers commercial fishing boat and/or the uncles family farm in summers - when I was off from public school (and only if not surfing at the time), self taught artist and computer graphics designer, and of course a Burner!
Best thing? The Burn, the many new and old friends I see when returning home to the playa each year, the incredible creativity that is found everywhere at Burning Man, and what is now very important to me (the spreading of the faith) - Burner faith.
Most importantly is that I have carried my Flattery ways from the Playa to everyone around me, and I do so as a year round burner. I feel every one should be always greeted with a Hug, always with a smile, and the experience of a new and continued spiritual awakening that I find at every new burn; and then take outside (off the playa) to be shared with others.
What is burner faith you say?
- Hug someone today - let them know you care,
- Flatter someone today - let them know you how special they are in your life,
- Leave no trace and keep the planet clean for the future,
- Spread the faith with your actions of love and giving.
Keep the faith (burner faith)
